IBM Patterns Program - June 2021

IBM's Patterns Program is an 8 week intensive designed to quickly and effectively acclimate new IBMers to the Entriprise Design Thinking processes. During this program, interns and early career hires from different design disciplines are placed on teams and work with specific departments who would like help getting an incubator project off the ground.
Team Challenge:
Team Grace Hopper was matched with IBM's Cloud & Cognitive Software division, where we were tasked with redesigning how individuals discover and experience newly released AI Research. I am unable to share the specific designs at this moment, but our designs are currenty under implementation! The greatest challenge here was gaining a grasp for the complex technology and developing a deep understanding of how this product met individual needs. We achieved our goal of developing a protoype webpage and a demo that would accurately represent the research being done to progress Watson Discovery, which would also allow users to test out these upcoming features themselves. Seasoned AI explorers and curious individuals with no knowledge of IBM's Watson products would have the ability to easily navigate and understand the use for these new research initiatives.
